今日は2月22日、金曜日です。

後少しで今週は終わりますね。

明日は友達の18歳の誕生日パーティーに

参加の予定です。忙しくてなかなか返事を

出すのがすぐにできませんでした。>.<

予約制だということで　『"first come, first served"です』と言われました。（笑）

皆さん、"first come, first serve"を知っていますか？

実は"first come, first serve"というのは皆さんも日本語でよく知っているフレーズです。（＾０＾）

ちなみに"first come, first served"というのは『早い者勝ち』という事です。

それでは、"first come, first served"を使ってみましょう。

"first come, first served" is something that we say when something is very few or limited and 
                                          not enough for everyone. 

Situation 1: Sam wants to avail the flight promo to Europe so he called to make a reservation.

          Sam: Hello, I'm calling to avail your flight promo do you still have seats left?

          Operator: Thank you for calling, yes Sir, we still have seats left but you would have to 

                   purchase your ticket online as we do not accept seat reservations by phone because our    

                   promo is on a "first come, first served" basis.

          Sam: Thank you, I will do that right away. Bye.

Situation 2:  The available slots for the upcoming concert of Arashi are very limited.

          Tony: Sam, we cannot reserve our tickets online, they do not accept reservations by phone 

                    either, so we have to be there first thing in the morning when they open to buy our  

                    tickets, it's strictly "first come, first served."

          Sam: Let's do that.
